Let it Snow, Let it Snow!
This is the day after Christmas with all the snow we got my brother-in-law Andy decided to take all the kids on rides behind his four wheeler. It was so fun!

Merry Christmas
Missing Diaper
We were at my Mom's church building for thanksgiving dinner and Adelyn's pants were all wet...I went to change her diaper thinking that she had soaked through and there was no diaper there. We looked all over the churchhouse wondering where she could have stashed her wet diaper, it was nowhere to be found. My parents were scheduled to help clean the church that weekend so I told them sorry if they get a surprise somewhere. Well as we were leaving my sister started to laugh and yell we found the diaper! I look over and the diaper is coming out of her pants! We laughed so hard!

Baby Steps
So I thouhg that I would update on our small potty progress.....Adelyn went to the potty on sunday all by herself for the first time!!!! yay.. We had a small pee pee party:)
She was really happy and said 'I did it Mom!' So at least she knows that it is a good thing.
Thank you for all the encouragement (except for Gilbert who pretty much said it sucks to be you...someday you will have children too:)

Potty Training Anyone?
So, I know that everyone has a hard time with potty training and wishes that their 2-3 year old would just potty train themselves. This last week we have been trying to encourage Adelyn to go in the potty and it has been a frustrating and amusing experience.
First, I took her to Walmart and had her choose some 'big girl pants'. She chose Thomas the Train (which of course happen to be big boy pants but I won't argue). We went home and had a wonderful time sitting on the potty and using a half a roll of TP and never actually going pee once. Then after about 45 minutes she stands right next to the potty and pees all over the underwear and floor.....good teaching Mom!!!
We then went to Stake Conference this morning and wore a diaper for obvious reasons and apparently one of the sides of the diaper did not get stuck tightly becuase Adelyn stands there in the ilse and has a funny look on her face that says she is going potty. I ask her if we can go get on the potty and as I do she looks down at the foor as her shoe fills with pee and overflows onto the carpet. Awsome! I love being a parent...I took her to the bathroom and changed and washed her legs and then went back to the carpet with disinfectant and towels all the while thinking that I hate potty training and would pay money for someone to do it for me! I am sure that many of you have great stories like these, and unfortunatly this will not be the last of my potty adventures.

So I am full of posts today.... These are some quotes That make me Smile:

John H. Groberg - 2004 Oct. Gen. Conf
"The most important thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother"
David O. McKay - Richard Evans Quote Book, 1971, p. 11

My father used to play with my brother and me in the yard. Mother would come out and say, "You're tearing up the grass." "We're not raising grass," Dad would reply. "We're raising boys." Harmon Killebrew - quotegarden.com

I love to Sing!
This post is because I was listening to one of my favorite CD's today and as I was rocking out singing I decided that I should share some of the lyrics with ya'll. I Love all types of music, mostly I love songs that 'speak to me', or relates with something I've been through. Anyway this is a song that I really like:
It Passes All My Understanding By Cherie Call
I was sitting in a southbound plane
I was buried in a magazine
When the man in the next seat over
Wanted to talk to me
He talked about the universe
He talked about saturn's rings
He said "I might be an athiest
except for just one thing:
"It passes all my understanding
how it all worked out just right
The distance that we live from the sun
the stars that shine at night
We may prove that is was jsut an accident
But how did it begin?
It passes all my understanding."
I told him, "You are a scholar
You know things that I don't know
But I beleive a God in Heaven
Made everything below
And I know we are his children
I've known it since I was two
but when it comes to being struck with awe
I'm just like you
"It passes all my understanding
How the Lord knows both our names
And he made this world for everyone
That was sitting on that plane
And in spite of all men's distractions
He offers us His peace
That passes all my understanding"
I Skipped one verse but you get the idea...I really like this song and I hope you can get the messge from these words....Kind of goofy but I like it and it's my blog!:)

No Alarm Clock
This morning started out really bad....Derik woke me up with a start "What Time Is It?" I looked at the clock and my heart sank. It was 5:55am and I was scheduled to be into work at 6:00am. The alarm clock did not go off and my sweet baby decided that this would be a good morning to finally sleep eight hours at a time..Love it! I jumpd out of bed, threw on some clothes, slapped on the smallest amount of make up I could get away with and put my hair in a ponytail. Derik called work for me and told them I was on my way. I sped all the way and got into my seat by 6:30. AHHHH. Then, I got to work and messed up the first call I took my supervisor had to spend the next twenty minutes fixing my mistake....I felt so frazzled and dumb! The day got better after that, but man what a rocky start.
