Calling all Dieters!

Hey Guys! There are a few of us that are starting a group competition for weight loss before spring. If Anyone is interested in jumping on board, let us know quickly because we started on Monday. So far the group includes Mindy, Kara Andrea, Natalie and Kim. We are each giving $20.00 to Angie who will be our third person keeping tabs for us. We each weighed ourselves on monday and are putting that weight in our dieting envelope. The person who looses the largest percentage of weight at the end (may 31st) gets the cash. That is currently at $100.00. Pretty good deal huh. That should be enough to buy a cute spring outfit for your new body, or mine because I plan on winning of course!:)
All are invited, but jump in quick so everyone has the same amount of time to slim down!
We are going to try to post our results or sucesses once a week so that it can motivate and inspire everyone!
I decided that I would post my goal so that i would be more accountable for it. My goal is to loose 16lbs by may 31st. This is a realistic goal in three months so I better stick to it.

Stuck in the House!

I took derik to the Doctor last night and after three hours in the office we found out that he has Influenza. Apparently the strain this year is really bad and the shot is not helping with this strain. Well the doctor said that the whole family has to take the antibiotics (so we don't catch it from him) and Derik has to stay at the house for 3-5 days until he is no longer contagious. I am glad that it is only he that has to stay here...because with him home all day I need out of the house:)

New Stove Top

I dis not know that the ceramic stove tops could break this easily!

I was taking a glass of milk out of the microwave and dropped

it and the ceramic top on our stove shattered!

It cost $333.50 to replace, the guy just cam this morning.

It was really frustrating because the stove did not cost much more than that!

Puerto Rico

As some of you know Derik went to Puerto Rico at the beginning of January for five days for Melalueca. He did not take a lot of pics but here are a few. I was so jealous it was sunny and 80 degrees most of the week he was there. The last pic is of a cruise ship at the doc, maybe next time he goes I will stow away in his bag!

Aliya Enjoying Adelyn's Presents!

Aliya had a great time sitting in a little chair that our good friends Margie and Carl got for Addy. She sits in it so well...as long as Addy doesn't see her and kick her out!

Adelyn is Three!

Today is Adelyn's birthday, but we celebrated it on Saturday with Family and close friends of the family. It was a lot of fun to see Adelyn get excited and realize that it was her birthday. Conner (her cousin) had a hard time letting her open her own presents!

Cinderelly Dress!

I have tried for the past three years to get Adelyn to like something girly and finally she does. She likes Cinderella (aka Cinderelly, Cinderelly, night and day Cinderelly! As Adelyn likes to call her)
This is a dress I got for Adelyn for her third Birthday. She is holding a Cinderella Barbie Auntie Kelcee got for her.
I win! Don't worry she still loves Thomas the Train...Derik got her a thomas shirt and she loved wearing it with her boots.

Seven Months old!

so I will rey to keep up better. She is big enough now to sit up and eat those teething cookies! She loves to make messes with them.

Six months old!

So I know that I have been neglecting this blog for a while now...I just forget and then run out of time.

I have such a great time reading all of your blogs that I do not have time to update my own.

Anyway this is as close to six months for Aliya as I could find. she was six months on Dec 28th. Ahh that was a long time ago!

Snow Days!

A Couple of weeks ago all the kids got out of school because there was a lot of snow accumulation and the wind was making drifts like crazy. My sister invited me and the girls to go to Leo's Place and play on the toys...we had a great time and Adelyn found a train!
